Welcome to the Michigan Area Team...

The Area Representative for southeast Michigan is Ruth Smith. The team arranges for and promotes programs of interest to A.R.E. members and friends in the Detroit Michigan area, often bringing speakers from Virginia Beach and other areas of the country or Region. Other teams are needed in other parts of Michigan, so if you are interested in activities in your area, or would like to help on another team, contact the Heartland Region Coordinator, Myrna McKee.

Heartland Welcomes the rest of Michigan!

Until recently, Western Michigan was included in the Heartland Region while Eastern Michigan belonged the the LOVE Region. Now that has all changed, and the Heartland Region is ringing in the new year by welcoming Eastern Michigan into our region. 

"This is really exciting!" said Myrna McKee, Heartland Region Coordinator. "Just like Iowa, the state of Michigan is no longer divided. We hope that members in all of Michigan will be able to enjoy a greater sense of community and that many of them will choose this time to become more involved in work of the association and the Heartland Region."
