Popular speaker Ron Miller, who has given us programs on "The Gospel of Thomas" and an intense look at Eckhart Tolle's "The New Earth" will be back to go in depth on Islam. Ron's religion classes at Lake Forest College, where he is Professor of Religion, are always packed and popular with young and mature audiences on campus.

During this day about Islam we will look at the basic developments in Islam from 570 C.E. to 2009 C.E. We will look at its origins, the Qu'ran and the Hadith, the development of its rift with the Christian West, and ways to heal and grow together today. Islam is the third of the great Abrahamite religions and shares much with Judaism and Christianity. Part of our discussions will be in light of these similarities and differences.

Cost: $35.00, includes beverages, snacks and lunch.
