Heartland Welcomes the Rest of Iowa!
From the beginning, the Heartland Region included Eastern Iowa, but as of January 6, 2010 ALL of Iowa is now part of the Heartland Region. Coordinator Myrna McKee says, "It's so good that Iowa is no longer divided. This allows for a greater sense of community among A.R.E. members throughout the state." There is opportunity to develop more Area Teams and more Study Groups and wonderful opportunities for A.R.E. members in Iowa to become more active in various aspects of the work of the organization.
If you would like to become more involved, begin a new area team, or volunteer in any way you may email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it - she'd love to hear from you!
Iowa Area Team News
Although there is an active study group in Cedar Rapids, the Heartland Region Coordinator is looking for interested A.R.E. members in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Davenport, Des Moines or Dubuque to form an Area Team. Area Teams help to find venues for programs and to work with speakers from Virginia Beach or across the nation to bring topics of interest to members and friends residing in each area. With your help, we can bring more programs and events to all of Iowa. To volunteer, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
